Our journey began in 2018 with Myhotjobz, a job discovery platform founded by Dr. Samuel Farohunbi and Mr. Oluwatobi Solomon. At the time, our focus was simple, help more people discover genuine job opportunities and improve their chances of getting hired.
As technology evolved and the employment landscape changed, we realised finding jobs was only one part of the challenge. Professionals also needed a place to showcase their skills, build professional identities, connect with employers, discover internships and access digital work opportunities while employers needed an easier way to discover qualified talent.
That vision led to the creation of Freebyz Remote Jobs, developed by Freebyz Technologies Ltd. Today, Freebyz continues to evolve into a comprehensive employment and talent marketplace serving individuals and organizations across Africa and beyond.

Dr. Samuel Farohunbi
Dr. Samuel Farohunbi leads Freebyz Technologies Ltd's strategy, operations, partnerships and growth, focusing on expanding access to employment, digital opportunities and technology-driven solutions that create lasting social and economic impact.
With a PhD in Biochemistry and expertise spanning artificial intelligence, digital innovation, product strategy and digital marketing, he has spent years building platforms that solve real-world challenges across employment, education and financial technology. Before launching Freebyz, he co-founded Myhotjobz in 2018, the career platform that evolved into today's Freebyz.
Beyond Freebyz, he has contributed to numerous technology, research and entrepreneurship initiatives, including AI education programmes, startup innovation and digital skills development — driving Freebyz's vision of becoming one of Africa's most trusted employment and talent marketplaces.
Oluwatobi Solomon
Oluwatobi Solomon leads technology strategy, software engineering and platform infrastructure at Freebyz Technologies Ltd, building the secure, scalable and reliable systems that power the Freebyz ecosystem.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin and a Master's degree from the University of Lincoln, with expertise spanning software engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science and cloud technologies. Before co-founding Freebyz, he founded Dominahl Technology.
During his time at Venture Garden Group, he contributed to enterprise education platforms — including e-learning systems, automated grading, video conferencing and application portals — using PHP, Laravel and Vue.js, alongside secure APIs, fintech integrations and AWS cloud infrastructure. At Freebyz, he leads engineering to keep the platform secure, scalable and ready for growth.
