We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and supporting the overall integrity of the company’s accounting operations.

• Accounts Payable Management: Process, verify, and reconcile accounts payable transactions accurately and on time.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform weekly bank reconciliations across all company accounts and promptly resolve discrepancies.
• Accounting System Maintenance: Ensure accounting software is consistently updated and accurately reflects current financial transactions.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, prepare monthly reports, and ensure accurate depreciation computation and posting.
• New Product Development (NPD): Track and record costs and activities related to NPD initiatives, ensuring proper classification and reporting.
• Marketing Expenditure: Track, document, and report marketing-related financial activities for budget monitoring and cost control.
• Pension Administration: Coordinate monthly pension remittances and perform periodic reconciliations with relevant pension fund administrators.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare schedules and ensure timely remittance of PAYE, CIT, VAT, and WHT in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Bank Charges Monitoring: Track, analyse, and report bank charges to identify anomalies and support cost-reduction initiatives.

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
• ACA/ACCA or professional certification in view is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar accounting/ERP systems, as well as strong Excel skills.
• Sound knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory remittance obligations, including PAYE, CIT, VAT, and WHT.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to prepare accurate financial schedules and reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
