ABOUT THE ROLE Jades Hotel is a hospitality establishment, offering accommodation and a range of hospitality and leisure services. The hotel features restaurant and bar services, room service, breakfast offerings, event/conference facilities, swimming pool and wellness facilities, among other guest amenities. Jades Hotel is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and service-focused Housekeeping Manager to lead its housekeeping operations and ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, comfort and presentation throughout the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, laundry and housekeeping resources while ensuring that the department operates efficiently and supports an excellent overall guest experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel's Housekeeping Department. • Oversee the cleaning and presentation of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, offices, restaurants and other designated hotel spaces. • Establish and maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel. • Develop appropriate cleaning schedules and inspection standards for different areas of the property. • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, guest amenities, toiletries, linen and housekeeping supplies. • Maintain appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels for essential housekeeping materials. • Supervise, train and coordinate all housekeeping staff. • Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate housekeeping assignments based on occupancy and operational requirements. • Ensure strict adherence to hotel hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness standards. • Ensure appropriate cleaning chemicals are stored, handled and used safely.

QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related discipline. • Minimum of 3–5 years' progressive experience in hotel housekeeping operations. • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial housekeeping position is required. • Experience managing guest room cleaning, public-area cleaning and housekeeping operations within a hotel environment. • Good knowledge of hotel cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation and service standards. • Experience using hotel management/PMS systems is an advantage. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. • Relevant professional certification in Hospitality, Housekeeping or Hotel Management is an advantage. IDEAL CANDIDATE • The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly organized and detail-oriented hospitality professional who understands that effective housekeeping management extends beyond simply supervising cleaning staff. • They should be capable of maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation while effectively managing staff, linen, inventory, supplies and departmental costs. • The ideal candidate must have experience working in the same role, in a hotel, ideally in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Lagos or other major cities in Nigeria.
