Our client, a reputable Insurance brokerage firm, is recruiting to fill this vacancy in Lagos. The MD is responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving sustainable business growth and positioning the company as one of Nigeria's leading insurance brokerage firms.

Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: - Develop and implement strategic plans. - Develop and execute a five-year strategic business plan. Business Development & Market Expansion: - Drive aggressive business acquisition across corporate, SMEs, retail, public sector and specialized risks. - Expand the Company's market share nationally. - Build strategic alliances with insurance companies, reinsurers and international partners. Financial Oversight: - Develop and manage the annual budget, financial forecasts, and performance metrics. - Ensure the company’s financial health and sustainability. Client Relationship Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. - Oversee the development of tailored insurance solutions. Risk Management: - Establish a robust Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. - Monitor operational, financial and strategic risks. - Ensure effective internal control systems. - Promote business continuity planning. - Protect the Company's reputation. Stakeholders' Communication: Prepare and present reports to the board of directors, and shareholders on company's performance and strategic initiatives. Innovation and Growth: - Drive innovation in product offerings, technology, and business processes to achieve competitive advantage. - Explore and implement new business models, partnerships, and alliances to expand market presence and revenue streams. Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.

Requirements: a. BSC in insurance, social science, or a related field, and FCII/ACII. MBA or other advanced degrees will be an advantage. b. Min. of 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry, of which at least 5 years must be in an insurance brokerage firm and must have functioned in the capacity of a MD. c. Demonstrated success in business development. d. Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, financial reporting, and enterprise risk management. e. Strong leadership, and people management skills. f. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans. g. Excellent client relationship management skills. h. Strong communication and presentation skills. i.
