We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Java) to join our client’s technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining robust software applications while contributing to the continuous improvement of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities: -Design, develop, test and maintain software applications using Java. -Write clean, efficient, scalable and maintainable code in line with coding standards and best practices. -Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software quality. -Collaborate with Senior Software Engineers, Product Managers, QA and other stakeholders to deliver projects successfully. -Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, bugs and performance issues. -Implement enhancements and optimisations to existing applications. -Develop and maintain clear technical documentation. -Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. -2–4 years of hands-on experience in software development. -Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Java-based development frameworks, particularly Spring/Spring Boot. -Experience developing software applications and contributing to software projects. -Good knowledge of SQL and database management. -Understanding of REST APIs, software development lifecycle and version control. -Knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity and application support is an advantage. -Experience within the financial services/fintech sector is an added advantage.
