The Accounts Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, monitoring hospital revenue and expenses, and supporting the Finance & Accounts Department in ensuring proper financial control and compliance with hospital policies.

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare and send invoices and statements of accounts.
• Process approved supplier and service-provider invoices.
• Ensure invoices are properly authorized before payment.
• Maintain records of outstanding supplier obligations.lp
• Assist with supplier account reconciliation.
• Prepare regular bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and hospital records.
• Maintain proper documentation of all banking transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff financial and payroll information.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Provide accurate financial information to management when required.
• Maintain proper filing and retrieval of accounting records.
• Monitor revenue generated from consultations, laboratory services, pharmacy, admissions, procedures, and other hospital services.
• Identify discrepancies in revenue collections and report them promptly.
• Ensure all hospital income is properly accounted for.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Accountant, Finance Manager, or Management.

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting qualification or relevant certification is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 2–3 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.

• Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
