Project Planning & Delivery
• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
• Review each project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
• Translate blueprints into actionable construction plans
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any that emerge
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
• Setting up and presenting a Bill of Materials for every project
• Setting up and presenting relevant drawings for every project
• Ensuring that all drawings receive the relevant seals and government approvals
Site Supervision & Quality Control
• Oversee all onsite and offsite construction activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
• Reduce job comebacks and ensure the overall quality of jobs delivered
• Carry out adequate site inspections on all site activities to identify and fix faults
• Mark and conduct building layout, setting-out, forming, and related site-establishment tasks
• Ensure proper use of tools and equipment for basic tasks by all workers
• Responsible for monitoring safety and quality standards
Team Coordination & Supervision
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Coordination and supervision of workers
• Provide weekly schedules for junior supervisors, who break them down into daily schedules for workers
• Assign tasks to junior supervisors
• Calculate and provide detailed information to junior supervisors on batching, bearing capacity, etc.
• Liaise with contractors and managers to ensure all parties are aligned on processes
• Hiring of all civil engineering staff
Resource & Equipment Management
• Select tools, materials and equipment
• Organise the equipment and manpower necessary to complete construction projects
• Maintaining all construction equipment and tools
• Responsible for the upkeep of the buildings of the factory, HQ, barn and JSQ
Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare reports pertaining to job status
• Keeping detailed records of construction site activities
