We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to support the day-to-day HR operations of a growing microfinance bank undergoing a transition from traditional to fully digital banking.

The ideal candidate should be an experienced HR generalist who is comfortable with recruitment, employee records, payroll support, onboarding, employee relations and HR administration, and is confident using digital HR tools and systems.

• Manage recruitment and onboarding processes
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
• Support payroll inputs, benefits and statutory deductions
• Track attendance, leave and employee movements
• Prepare HR letters and documentation
• Support training and staff development initiatives
• Handle employee queries, welfare and basic grievance management
• Support disciplinary and exit processes
• Assist with HR compliance and regulatory requirements
• Prepare weekly/monthly HR reports and maintain HR trackers
• Support the digitisation of HR records and processes
• Provide general HR and administrative support

• Bachelor's Degree/HND in HR, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Humanities or a related field
• 2–3 years of relevant HR Generalist/HR Officer experience**
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, payroll input and employee records
• Experience in banking, microfinance or financial services is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices
• Comfortable using HRIS, Microsoft Office, Excel and other digital tools
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of confidentiality, integrity and attention to detail
• CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, HRCI or other relevant certification is an added advantage
• Must be adaptable, tech-savvy and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment
