• Lead risk assessments and monitor the organisation’s risk appetite and exposure
• Review and test the effectiveness of internal controls and drive remediation
• Strengthen risk and control frameworks across business processes
• Monitor regulatory, legal, permit and compliance obligations
• Conduct investigations and provide clear, actionable insights to management
• Lead reviews of IT General Controls and other key control environments
• Engage confidently with senior leadership and Board/Audit & Risk Committee stakeholders

• 7+ years of relevant experience with Big Four exposure, or 10+ years in a similar role
• Strong experience across risk management, internal controls and compliance
• Proven experience engaging executive leadership and/or Board committees
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian regulatory environment
• Experience within energy, utilities, power, gas or related industries is highly desirable
• Relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CRISC, CISA or equivalent is an advantage
• A mature, analytical and proactive leader who can challenge constructively and influence across functions
