We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced *Senior Accountant* to oversee financial reporting, loan portfolio accounting, tax compliance, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting within our fintech and lending operations.

- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, including IFRS 9 loan loss provisioning.
- Manage general ledger activities, month-end closing, and bank, wallet, and payment gateway reconciliations.
- Oversee loan portfolio accounting, interest income recognition, repayments, Portfolio at Risk (PAR), and impairment calculations for motorcycle and tricycle asset financing.
- Ensure timely filing of PAYE, WHT, VAT, and other applicable statutory returns, while maintaining compliance with FIRS, LIRS, and CBN requirements.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Collaborate with the technology team to ensure proper integration of loan management systems, including Mambu and Basikon, with accounting software.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection requirements, including NDPA and NDPR.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a recognised Nigerian university.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant with ICAN certification; ACCA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of post-NYSC accounting experience, including at least 3 years in fintech, lending, digital banking, microfinance banking, or asset finance.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, FIRS/LIRS regulations, and CBN reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting ERP systems such as Sage, Zoho Books, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with Mambu or Basikon is a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance skills.
