StarGuide is seeking a confident, disciplined and results-driven corps member to join our team as a Telesales Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting enquiries into paying customers. This is not simply a customer service role. The employee will take ownership of assigned leads, conduct consistent follow-up, address objections, book qualified meetings and actively move prospects towards payment or another agreed sales outcome.

This position is suitable for a corps member who enjoys speaking with people, can communicate persuasively without being aggressive and is motivated by measurable targets and commission-based earnings.

Lead Engagement and Conversion

• Contact new inbound leads received through WhatsApp, website forms, advertisements, social media and referrals.
• Make telephone and WhatsApp calls to prospective customers.
• Explain StarGuide’s offerings clearly and confidently.
• Understand each prospect’s needs and recommend the most suitable service or programme.
• Address questions and objections relating to pricing, programme value, payment and service delivery.
• Follow up consistently with interested prospects until they pay, decline or are formally closed.
• Follow up with abandoned registrations and prospects who have not completed payment.
• Ensure assigned new leads are contacted promptly during working hours.

Outbound Sales and Lead Reactivation

• Re-engage previous leads, former participants and prospects from earlier campaigns.
• Conduct targeted outbound calls and messages using company-provided lead lists.
• Identify and qualify potential corporate clients.
• Generate new leads through approved outreach and referral activities.
• Book qualified consultation meetings, product demonstrations and corporate sales conversations.
• Support sales campaigns, programme launches, webinars and promotional activities.

Lead and Pipeline Management

• Record every assigned lead, call, message, follow-up and outcome in the approved tracker or CRM.
• Maintain accurate information on lead status, next action, payment status and conversion source.
• Ensure no active lead is abandoned or left without an agreed next step.
• Submit concise daily activity and conversion reports.
• Participate in weekly sales planning, pipeline reviews and performance check-ins.
• Work closely with the Operations team to confirm registrations, payments and customer records.
• Handle prospect and customer information confidentially.

The ideal candidate must:

• Be a currently serving NYSC member in Lagos, preferably recently mobilised with at least ten months remaining in the service year
• Be available to complete the remainder of the NYSC service year with StarGuide
• Be able to work onsite on Tuesdays and Fridays
• Possess strong spoken and written English
• Be confident speaking with prospects over the telephone and through WhatsApp
• Demonstrate persuasion, resilience and good listening skills
• Be comfortable working with sales and revenue targets
• Be organised and able to follow up with several prospects without losing track of conversations
• Have basic proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, email and digital communication tools
• Have a suitable environment for productive remote work
• Demonstrate integrity and discretion when handling customer information and company equipment

Previous telesales, customer service, business development, marketing or lead-conversion experience is an advantage, but it is not compulsory. Candidates who can demonstrate strong communication ability, discipline and willingness to learn will be considered.
