Job Description


The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of broadcast and studio equipment and systems. The role ensures the reliable delivery of high-quality audio, video, transmission, streaming, and production services while minimizing technical downtime and maintaining broadcast standards.

*Job Responsibilities*
• Install, configure, test, operate, and maintain broadcast equipment and systems.
• Maintain cameras, vision mixers/switchers, audio consoles, microphones, monitors, recorders, encoders, decoders, intercom systems, and related equipment.
• Ensure all studio and broadcast equipment is properly connected, configured, and operational.
• Monitor the performance and condition of technical equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of broadcast equipment.
• Provide technical support for live broadcasts, studio productions, recordings, events, and outside broadcasts.
• Set up and test technical equipment before production or transmission.
• Ensure that audio and video signals meet required quality standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during productions and implement immediate solutions to minimize disruption.
• Carry out repairs and replacements where technically appropriate.
• Conduct regular testing and calibration of equipment.
• Assist in setting up studios, control rooms, and editing suites
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all technical equipment.

*Qualifications & Experience*
• Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience in broadcast engineering, studio engineering, telecommunications, or a related technical environment.
• Experience working with professional broadcast and studio equipment.
• Practical experience with live production, transmission, and/or streaming systems is highly desirable.
• Experience troubleshooting audio, video, networking, and broadcast equipment.
• Experience working with studio/production equipment will be an added advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications in broadcast technology, networking, electronics, or engineering are an advantage.
