Job Description

Upliftrise Humanitarian Foundation is a newly registered nonprofit organization committed to humanitarian service, community development, empowerment, education, youth development, and improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and families. As we establish and expand our operations, we are seeking a highly responsible, experienced, organized, trustworthy, and proactive NGO Administrator & Executive Secretary to support the effective management and development of the Foundation.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will: Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the Foundation. Maintain proper organizational records, files, correspondence, and documentation. Prepare official letters, reports, meeting minutes, proposals, presentations, and other documents. Coordinate meetings, appointments, programs, outreach activities, training, and events. Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, partners, and organizational activities. Assist management with basic budgeting, expense tracking, receipts, and financial documentation. Maintain a calendar of important organizational and regulatory deadlines. Support CAC annual returns and other compliance requirements in collaboration with management and professional advisers. Communicate professionally with government agencies, donors, corporate organizations, community leaders, partners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders. Assist with identifying grant opportunities, fundraising activities, sponsorship requests, and partnership proposals. Manage official emails, telephone calls, WhatsApp communications, and other correspondence. Support the Foundation's social media presence and public communications. Assist with the coordination of humanitarian, educational, youth-development, and music-related programs and events. Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of integrity and accountability. Perform other administrative and operational responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Applicants should preferably possess: HND/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Accounting, Social Sciences, Mass Communication, or a related field. Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant administrative experience; previous experience with an NGO/nonprofit organization is strongly preferred. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace/Drive, email, and internet research. Good record-keeping and basic bookkeeping skills. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to prepare professional letters, reports, meeting minutes, proposals, and presentations. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES The following will be considered added advantages: Knowledge of Nigerian NGO administration, CAC compliance, grant applications, fundraising, or project management. Social media management and basic Canva/graphic design skills. Knowledge, experience, or a background in music or music education. Ability to assist with the coordination and administration of music programs, concerts, music training, youth-development activities, and special events. Experience working with children, youths, schools, churches, or community-development programs. Experience communicating with corporate organizations, donors, sponsors, and government agencies.
