Our client, a learning and development organisation, is seeking an experienced Student Counsellor to provide counselling, guidance and developmental support to secondary school students.

The role also involves supporting student assessments, marking assigned scripts, computing results and maintaining accurate and confidential student records.

• Conduct individual and small-group counselling sessions for students.
• Provide developmental, behavioural and academic support to students.
• Guide students in developing confidence, discipline, positive habits and responsible decision-making.
• Observe student behaviour and identify concerns requiring further support or escalation.
• Mark assigned exercises, assignments and examinations accurately and promptly.
• Compute, organise and maintain students’ scores and results.
• Maintain accurate and confidential counselling and student records.
• Prepare and submit required counselling and student-progress reports.

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Guidance & Counselling, Psychology, Sociology, Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience counselling, mentoring, teaching or working directly with teenagers.
• Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mark scripts, compute results and maintain accurate records.
• Strong emotional intelligence, confidentiality and professional judgement.
• Smart, approachable, proactive and dependable.
• Must be able to work conveniently within Ikotun and surrounding areas.
